False Domestic Violence Allegations Affecting Men

Dan Jones was imprisoned because his once fiancé Sara Jane Parkinson made thirty-two false allegations against him. To punish him for breaking off his engagement, she claimed he had been violent with and raped her.

Dan had broken off the engagement after discovering she was having an affair with a New South Wales Australian policeman. Parkinson’s cop/boyfriend along with his police buddies, staged a rape crime scene. They did everything they could to destroy Dan and his family. As a result, Dan was imprisoned. It took five years and $400,000+ in legal fees to set Dan free.

Beyond miraculous, Parkinson was imprisoned for her false allegations.  

The person driving the case was Jon White. He had a reputation for bending the rules in rape cases. Despite being informed by another senior prosecutor who stated that there was no evidence, White pushed ahead with all 32 charges.

After a female detective proved Dan had been framed, he was released from prison. It still took a further year for the corrupt White to drop the charges. White asked that Dan pay a surety of $200,000 on his request to move interstate. A judge set it at only $200.

I ask myself, how many innocent men are sitting in prison today because of false allegations? Not every man has the support that Dan had to set things right and get him out. It's a pretty messed up situation. On the one hand, we need a system in place to protect the vulnerable, however, what happens when this system is abused by malicious, vindictive and or mentally ill individuals?

Many of you in this group have experienced false allegations. I certainly have. My ex tried to get me arrested seventeen times. She succeeded three times, where I was charged and let out on bail. I was never convicted on any of the charges.

I don't know what the solution is, only that we can each do our little part to help where we can. I have worked with a few hundred dads around the world all of whom claim to have been subjected to false allegations. While I have no way of knowing if they are all telling the truth, I strongly feel and believe that most of them are.
